Hello students and parents! Fall season is i full swing! As we continue through the school season, continue inspecting your goals and reviewing your progress daily. School activities can sometimes be hard to keep up with if you don't have a routine to support everything.
If you have not downloaded the Spark Member app, please do so. Important announcements will be sent through the app and email. Students are able to check into classes from the app upon arrival, and memberships and payments can be managed directly there. In addition, students should be able to access curriculum items (doucments and videos) in the app. If you have questions or are having trouble getting logged in or cannot access things you believe you should, check with Mr. Koivisto.
The following are some important dates to remember. Each announcement is tagged with a program to help our members know which items are most important to them. Don't forget to check our Class Schedule as well as the whiteboards in the school for class plans, announcements, and schedules.
- Fall #tangsoo #haidong Fall Season Intent to Test is now available! Students that wish to test for their next color belt must submit the form by Thursday, October 26. Students that do not have a submitted form will not be testing for their next rank, but are encouraged to participate and ask for instructor feedback. Chisholm Community Education students and students with an all white belt do NOT need to do this. Contact Mr. K with questions.
- Fall #tangsoo #haidong #tigers #commed There have been requests for hoodies this fall/winter season, and you have been heard! Now available for order through October 22 is the first edition of Resurgence hoodies! You can place your order in the student app shop or online! Order now to get them before the holidays!
- Oct #kigong Chisholm classes with Mrs. Wickstrom will continue classes at the South-Side Playground (weather permitting) or via Zoom Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9:00am. Contact her for the Zoom invite.
- Oct #kigong Virginia classes with Mrs. Ekmark will continue at Olcott Park near the fountain (weather permitting) or in the Greenhouse on Tuesdays 10:00am. Contact her for more information.
- Oct #kigong Palo classes with Mr. Wilkes will continue at the Loon Lake Community Center on Thursdays at 10:00am. Contact him for more information.
- Oct 16 & 18 #tangsoo Point Sparring and judging practice! Everyone will participate in sparring. Any of our members that are assigned for judging will get to practice these days.
- Oct 20-21: #tangsoo WTSDA Region 3 Fall event will be held in Fridley! More details can be found on the Region 3 event page. We will have about a dozen competitors from our school for this event.
- Oct 30 #tangsoo #haidong Halloween blacklight classes! We will be doing classes with the overhead lights turned out and the black lights turned on! Come in a costume if you like (one that you can still see/move in)! Treat bags will be passed out at the end.
- Nov 8 #gumdo Headmaster Jeong-Woo Kim will be in Mendota Heights, MN for a training event. There will be a student seminar with Master Kim on Wednesday night 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Registration is now open!
