The following are some important items and dates to remember. Each announcement is tagged with a program to help our members know which items are most important to them.

  • SPRING#tangsoo #haidong Spring season is under way! Season schedule has been posted in the Tang Soo Do Band.
  • Apr #kigong Chisholm classes with Mrs. Wickstrom will continue at the Southside Park only Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9:00am, weather permitting.
  • Apr #tigers Tiny Tigers are now in session starting on March 31.
  • Apr #tangsoo We are offering beginners' martial arts (tang soo do) through Chisholm Community Education at the Vaughan-Steffensrud Gymnasium on Wednesdays March 30 - May 25th. It has been a a couple years since we were able to offer classes in Chisholm, and we hope that this can be the start of a new full-time program there again!
  • Apr 18 #tangsoo #haidong Intent to test form opens for students to submit for testing to their next color belt rank.
  • Apr 29 - May 1 #tangsoo The WTSDA Region 3 Spring Tournament in Coon Rapids, MN is posted on the Region 3 website! Be sure to check there for information. Additional info will be in our TSD BAND.
  • May 4 #tangsoo #haidong Intent to test forms & testing fees due.
  • May 15-16 #haidong Midwest Haidong Gumdo will have a black belt testing and training event held in Fridley, MN! Information is available on the Midwest Haidong Gumdo website now!
  • May 23 & 25 #tangsoo Color belt rank testing
  • May 25 #haidong Color belt rank testing
  • Jun 23-25 #tangsoo The WTSDA World Championship event will be held in Greensboro, NC once again! Students of all ranks are encouraged to attend. See Mr. K if you have questions about the event or the weekend.

Students and parents: Don't forget to get into the appropriate BAND for the program(s) you are part of. This is our preferred way to stay in touch with instructors, get important announcements, and even share pictures and videos from class and events. BAND is not tied to a social media network, it is for communicating with our students and instructors. There are often posts found in BAND that are not anywhere else in our communications (class sign-ups, additional class information). It is also where you will learn when classes have been canceled! If you have problems getting into Band, talk to an instructor.
